Film and the American Great Depression Session 3: The great stars, the great studios and the golden year of 1939 plus the storm clouds of war on the horizon

This series will explore the impact of film during the American Great Depression both as social commentary and as a means of escape. Sessions will feature film clips from the golden era of Hollywood, as well as discussions concerning the major film topics of the era.
